Headline :: First sales figures trickle through for PS3 launch

The first sales figures have trickled through on PS3 sales in Australia for the first few days after launch. The European figures should arrive soon.

    Check out the Headline

Those figures, of course, include those who brought to sell on ebay.

I wonder if returns get counted against these figures, as I'm sure some ebayers who were disappointed to be on the wrong end of the pointy stick, have tried to return some of their investments.

Australia is a really small market, but to be honest I thought the figures would be worse. They're probably not going to be far behind Australia's figure for Wii and Xbox 360 launches.

Except of course that Australia's Wii and Xbox 360 launch were restricted by a lack of availability........

These figures have come from Sony themselves, I don't think I can trust them.

Our local BlockBuster got 25 for launch, they still had 25 on Friday night.

Probably not allowed to outright lie (though, in the past some have), but manipulating the numbers to suit your goal is a given

I'll take any figures with a pinch of salt, but I'd love to see a comparison of the three consoles launch sales with their allocation. I'd expect the wii and 360 to have 100% of allocation sold. I highly doubt this is the case with the ps3.
