As if the queues in some places for the ATM weren't bad enough they plan to add the options to print images and play games.
I can see ATM-Rage becoming very popular across the whole of the UK if they decide to install these across the country.
I think my local ATM must have got an early upgrade on Monday morning. Went to put my card in and it booted into Windows XP. I thought I was seeing things. A message came up saying upgrade in progress will complete in approximately 39mins and went blank.
I hope it flops, I hate standing in queues as it is, and I certainly won't enjoy finding out that the reason im stood in a queue for so long is because of some complete spanner-magnet who is busy playing Sudoku!
If you want games there are many other alternative outlets that are more suited and that applies to purchasing things as well.
Keep ATMs for dispensing cash please and mobile top-ups as well!
If they REALLY wanted to innovate tho, they could enable a cash machine to dispense change as well, but only whole pounds, so £1, £2, £3 and so on although this in itself is also tedious
What an absolute genius of an idea.
Seriously, I can't see these being installed anywhere anytime soon.

I suppose these will be in pubs and cinemas etc. The ones in some pubs (like Wetherspoons) at the moment mug you for between £1.50 and £3.00 for withdrawing as little as £10
Cheshire. WHY IS IT ALWAYS CHESHIRE?!

Haha you'd be so lucky at one of the branches I used to work at it was still using windows 98! lol
The ATMs that play games etc are already over in japan as they wanted to encourage people to take money out by having random 'luck' games that would give people free money (approx £10) if their fruit machine esque game won.
Stupid idea to be honest as why do people want to play games, some people spend enough time at cash points as it is, and imagine all the drunks on friday and saturday night being baffled by the request to play a game

EDIT: did i mention that thehre never seems enough cash points for everyone? up in durham there is about 1 per bank (external) max, and nationwide is frequently broken which leave massive queues i won't mention how stupidly placed they are either...
Nationwide you have to lean over a small sharp fence whilst at Natwest you have to bend down to knowck your head on the solid brick wall!

I have been too drunk to enter my pin number before. I knew the number i just couldn't physically tap it in on the keypad, coordination had totally gone . A game would confuse drunks seeking beer/takeaway tokens even more
Cash machines are always so low down. Im 6'2", i need it a bit higher. Sorry midgetsdid i mention that thehre never seems enough cash points for everyone? up in durham there is about 1 per bank (external) max, and nationwide is frequently broken which leave massive queues i won't mention how stupidly placed they are either...
