I find myself ordering directly from Misco more and more these days - not sure what the consumer service is like, so I can't offer an opinion on that, but our company's account manager is excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly and gets stuff sorted out fast.
Thumbs up!
Well, that appears to be what MISCO is focusing on - letting the front-line staff get on with their jobs, and not hamstringing them by having to check with their supervisors to make decisions.
Customer service is pretty good from my experience - I can't vouch for personal service, but from a corporate point of view, they're excellent. At work our head of IT has her own contact, usually for sales support, but also if we'd prefer to go through Misco instead of via the manufacturer for any given reason, he's there to help us. HP for instance we sometimes find it easier to deal through Misco for an RMA than do it ourselves, and Will is happy to help us on that. I doubt you'd get quite that level of support as an individual, but there's certainly a nice base there.
Only recommendations - 1) split the website up a bit so finding specific ranges is easier (DDR vs DDR2 vs laptop DDR2 for instance - it's not always easy finding the ideal product line), and 2) get some more stock of Netgear WAG302 access points - looks like we're going to be buying a good few in the coming weeks, and the WG302 doesn't really cut it
^Exactly what this_is_gav said.
The company I work for deals with them a lot and we have two points of contact for sales and they're always excellent and very helpful.
I've been dealing with them a bit more, and I've had very good service - see Hexus Trust for details.
Misco's been around for ages - why the sudden re-interest?
They're a bit more competitive than they used to be, and they appear to have sharpened up their customer service too.
I've interviewed - and wined-and-dined with - a whole lot of top executives and like to kid myself that that I can differentiate between those that are honest and knowledgeable and those that are something else.
I've not spoken yet about this interview to James or any of the crew that went along to Misco but, just from the video, I was rather impressed.
Sure, it seems like Ms Lamb implemented the bleeding obvious - though I kind of guess that's exactly how she thinks of it, too - but, sometimes, just doing the obvious things well can make a huge difference to a business.
And I like the way that she fronted up with the stuff about redundancies.
I sorely missed Simply when it shut down its retail outlet - which was in Walthamstow and not far from me - but did still buy from the company from time to time.
And I have bought some stuff from MISCO since the Simply brand was killed.
But, although it's been one of the online resellers I do usually check when looking to buy, it's not been the first, second or even third company that I'd look at.
Might be the case, now, that it gets itself promoted up my check list - though I can't imagine how it could displace my current number one unless it, too, offers HEXUS.community members free delivery.
I dont personally deal with them at home, but I do at work and as stated before you have 2 main points of contact, and there very helpful in every query I have

Used to like it when you could order stuff and pick it up from the counter in Blackhorse Road
