Headline :: The demise of E3 opens the door for Liepsig

Press have just received the official exhibitor list for this year's E3 and it's not looking good. The big three are still attending, but the 400 exhibitors that we saw last year have now been cut down to just 32.

    Check out the Headline

Isn't the problem with E3 that its only open to journalists - ie Joe Public can't get a looking?

They were losing so much money at the event, mainly because they were letting so many people/press go for free each year, plus trying to make it look all glitzy. Many of the sponsors dropped their support.

Kinda what happened in the UK with Gamestars Live which was a great event, but it was canned because publishers losing too much money.

Liepsig is all about the gamers and thus has made money through entrance fees. The attendance has gone through the roof in recent years. The Germans know how to put on a good show (CeBIT for instance) and Liepsig is seriously the place to be this year.

Shame about E3, but at least the Games Convention is closer to home so all the Europeans can have a great time this time around.
