I think it could be a joint effect from pretty much everyone has already played it, and the poor sales of the PS3 itself. If alot of game stores still have large amounts of their original stock still there, I'm sure they will be quite caustious of what games they will stock for it.
That's worrying. If they don't think they can sell one of the banker titles it'll lead to people being far more cautious developing for the system.
I don't think it's a case of everyone already playing it - there's a huge number of PS2 gamers who have held off from buying a X360 and won't be PC gamers. Whether these guys will actually want a western style RPG is another matter I guess.
Update - other people think it's just distribution problems (not uncommon for Ubisoft), why does Hexus think it's not?
Quite a few people think it's not, I guess everyone is rolling on with the rumours until told otherwise by GAME?
Been reading quite a lot about this, but I think you make a good point. We've assumed that the problem is because GAME just don't want to stock it, based on what the majority seem to be saying.
That could of course be totally incorrect as they haven't yet made an official statement.
On this occasion I've posted a rumour, but the way its been written appears as though it may be a fact.
I hold my hands up! :surrender: I've amended one of the sentences to make it clear that we don't know why they are not stocking Oblivion.
Cheers
It's stock problem, I bet. It's happened before, and there's no other reason for not stock it. Something to do with the distributer.
