looks good, i'm all for a vista boostlol
tbh i think all this 'designed for vista' & 'Vista ready Boost capable' is all crappy marketing to boost sales, 'specially designed for it'? gawd i thought all memory sticks with a high enough transfer rate could do ready boost?
i mean how many companys have not currently got a 'ready boost capable' range?
how many people here actually this technology currently?
more ram > vista readyboost, isnt it?
if so, why bother with this, its just a poor mans ram ...surely?
I have used several different USB Pen Drives and they all support the Vista Readyboost feature.
This is just product marketing. You can use just about any USB Pen, SD card etc. with Vista Readyboost and it really does make a big difference to performance.
I recently fitted an Asus P7131H TV Tuner card and the TV Playback was jittery and the sound was breaking up. After fitting an old 256Mb USB Pen and setting readyboost playback was perfect.
Agreed that it would probably not make much difference in all circumstances, but in my PC it made a big difference
I can even notice differences in games.....and that's with 4GB of system memory.
Not sure what its doing but the access light I have on my USB stick is on ~50% of the time that I am doing anything.
