On the day that the public beta goes live, Bungie has finally revealed a firm street date for the highly anticipated Halo 3.

I hope they explain what some of the things mean, I am new to the story with my 360 and want to know the background of what the hell I'm up to. Don't need too much GoW was well told.

I tried to understand the story and then gave up very early on.

Bah, Bungie & MS must really hate me In Canada when the Halo 3 beta starts, and now the release date is set for when i'll be in Spain on holiday

beta is delayed according to bungi. i myself is not realy looking forward to this game has i felt halo 1 and 2 where average

Yeah, TBH, the Halo series has been a bit overrated, the first game, the campaign started off really good, but after a bit the levels got repetitive and boring. It did have an awesome final level though, and multiplayer LAN was fantastic.

Halo 2's campaign was awful, the multiplayer was great, apart from the smack talking kids, oh how I hate the majority of people on Halo 2 online.

Hopefully with Halo 3 we'll get the awesome campaign we were expected from Halo 2's E3 demo, and well, we're gonna have to put up with the kids.

I agree, it's all about the multiplayer. I didn't even finish playing Halo 2 single player, it was boring.

Bungie have a superb matchmaking system.
