Dell & Wal-Mart - “You get the carrots love; I’ll get the dual core.”

“You get the carrots love; I’ll get the dual core.” Are these the words you will soon be hearing in your local hyper market?

With the announcement from Dell that it is soon to begin shipping out units to Wal-Mart retail stores across the US it has to be said your local Asda could be next.

I think i read somewhere that there will be some exclusive configurations as well. This may well be a way for Dell to dump some old stock into the impulse buy market.

You can get outlet systems without a monitor, in fact they don't come with one unless you purchase it seperately. But yeah, regular Dell systems aren't easy to buy without a screen.

" If anyone reading this has ever managed to buy a Dell system without a monitor"

Dead easy, only last year I bought 6 PC's, 4 without monitors and 2 with and even argued them out of most of the shipping costs. This was on a set of Dimension C261's for the office at a silly silly price of £264 per unit!

True, but you just call them and get it sorted. Worked fine when I was sorting out a new system for my boss's home as well (done as a home buyer on credit card)

I'd be surprised if Dell shot itself in the foot and sold boxes with monitors only as most supermarket PC's tend to give you the option.
