Headline :: Manhunt 2 banned in the UK

Manhunt 2 will not see the light of day and has been deemed too violent to release in the UK because it may poison our tiny minds with its 'unremitting bleakness and callousness of tone'.

    Check out the Headline

Bit pointless banning it really, it's not like it's going to be hard to get hold of a copy from one source or another.

Today I saw a rabbit run over on the road. I think I'll sue the council for the trauma this caused me.

What a load of cobblers. Someone blow up the BBFC's Ivory Tower (oh no, violent PC games have obviously made me a monster! Or maybe it's someone telling me what I can and can't see that p***** me off so much?) Bah and double bah.

Oh Balls to that - I was really looking forward to this. Good thing that I didnt pre-order this after all. I wonder if there is a way to run imported US games on my UK Wii... There must be a modchip or something. FFS - it'll be on the news next... or Panorama.

all that banning it will result in is making people want the game even more.

and as said before it won't be hard to get hold of it.

esp with all the import sites out there that people buy their games off half the time anyway.

It's only because the first game was ban, it's not that suprising really. They should of just gave the game a different title and it probably wouldn't of even been ban.

Either way I'll be getting a copy.

Oooh I wasn't interested before, now I am. Sounds like there may be something worth doing in it.

Thanks to whoever decided this, this is the free speech of the press which golden Tony is always on about that is so worth defending. Its like the frickin' Taleban.

Neither was I really, but theres no reason why it should be banned really, other than the fact that parents are irresponsible.

Yeah I agree. Rockstar must have known this would get banned though. Look at all of the furore over the first game. It's pretty shameless on their part IMO.

I bet they'll try to ban the new GTA next, I think they secretly ban games specifically to give them WAY more publicity.

I can't remember who said it, but theres a very famous quote thats goes... "...theres no publicity, like 'bad' publicity".

Anyway, we all know people are still going to get hold of this game, but looking at the bigger picture, if they're banning this sort of thing now what will they be banning in the future?
