    oooh thats very interesting news.

Whilst older OCZ PSUs varied between mediocre and very good, PC P&C are almost all superb. Very expensive though!

PC power and cooling make excellent PSU's if OCZ can keep up this level of quality and help us mere mortals get the,m outside the US, then it's good. You have to wonder if quality will start slipping under the OCZ banner though.

Have to agree with the quality comment having owned both brand psu's. The OCZ Powerstream blew up and the stability on the rails was not good before this, plus build wise, compared to the PC P&C, it crap.

The PC P&C psu on the other hand is just as reliable & stable as it was when I first got it years ago. The only thing I've done is open it up and replaced the fan for a quiet one.

The only place I know selling them atm in the UK is here

First of all let me identify myself as the Marketing Manager for Europe at OCZ.

    I appreciate your comments.

PC Power & Cooling will soon be available outside the US through our network of distributors, e-tailers and retailers.

The second good news is that we are going to keep the PC Power & Cooling brand and they will have more resources to devleop high quality products in the future as well.

The OCZ PSU lineup will also continue to exist and of course benefit from the quality of PCP & C units.

This is exciting because we can now offer a complete range of solutions.

Wow I have to hand it to them for having their little marketing dudes commenting everywhere. (I was an OCZ rep on DailyTech too).

It is certainly the way to go, instead of having faceless Taiwan or China based tech companies who seem to have no staff outside their factories.

There are some other issues, such as:

    1. Will PC P&C's stance towards modular PSUs change?

    2. Will they remain outrageously expensive?

I admit I'm a fanboy but I am virtually committed to Silverstone stuff now, so it is good to have such a strong competitor.

From reading Tony/Ryder's stance on the take over - they are staying as seperate entities and OCZ PSU's will still be rebranded OEM power supplies and PC Power and cooling will still make their power supplies.

I think the main difference to consumers will be the availability of PCP+C PSU's in Europe through OCZ distribution channels.

    Good news

OCZ have always been good for me.
Just make sure you treat us with the same level of service that your USA customers receive.
We do tend to suffer here you know!

Thats good news. I tried to get a PCP&C PSU not long ago, and I only really had two option have it shipped from the US, not cheap as these things are like double sized bricks, and their expensive enough to get nailed by customs. Secondly pay a huge premium from the few places that had imported them. Seeing as they're not cheap to start with it just wasn't feasible.

It'll be great to see them in Europe at a reasonable price(well more reasonable )

Also dont be a stranger an OCZ sub-forum on Hexus would be very cool
