Oh man, I grew up with these books. Not sure how well they'll translate onto portable platforms though.

Ah,Eidos apparently converted Warlock of Firetop Mountain into a videogame. Anyone ever play this?
Thanks, DavidM for the tip off!

There was also a deathtrap dungeon game at some point.
I remember transferring one of the books to a computer game using "ST adventrue creator". Worked exactly the same way as the book.

I'm 34 too and remember these books with great fondness! Forest of Doom was my favourite I think (brilliantly illustrated by Ian McCaig IIRC).
If only they could recreate the smell of the pages and get it to blow at you whilst you're playing the game.. I'd be like a pig in sugar and 13 again!
Yeah - forest of doom was also a good one, wasn't that number 3? Cant remember exactly. I can still remember all my friends gathered in circles in the playground, the familiar purrr of the pages being flicked and holding one of these books with my fingers bent around and securing the last 14 pages just in case I was about to meet a nasty death and had to re-track my steps. Did anyone ever bother with dice though? I know I never did.
