Screenshots :: Single player campaign Halo 3 - Xbox 360

Microsoft's first day at E3 just wouldn't have been the same without more information being revealed on Halo 3. We've been bombarded with information about the multiplayer, but this time around Bungie are letting us know a bit more about the single player campaign, including some brand new screenshots.

    Check out the Screenshots

I don't really see why it has to be better than GoW or R6

... Has Halo had its day? I can't shake the feeling that people's tastes have got a little more refined than the straight run and gun that Halo offers?

halo 3 will be a massive title, it shocks me that people think otherwise to be honest. Anyone that turns on their system on the day of release will see that at least 90% of their friends list are playing it. Loads of people still play halo 2, 3 will be no different.

Im not a particular lover of the series (but will pick up 3 to try to get into the multi), and it will be a hit, there is no doubt about it and graphics dont make a game!

i know graphics dont make a game but when it boils down to gameplay, whats so good about it? again has i said before, bioshock, UT3 etc's will no doubt be on par in gameplay terms with halo 3, if not better on those fps games. if im right then it boils down to graphics and story line to see which is the better title and terms of story line, i think bioshock is gunna be alot better than halo 3's story line.

Yea 90% of people on my friends list will more than likely get it on release but when they quickly realise that their are far superior fps games out their, theere halo3 will be gathering dust in no time

bioshock is a single player game, halo is all about the multi.

you will find its being played long after bioshock which will be stunning until you have completed it

UT3 is going to be a time limited exclusive for the PS3, and is mainly a multiplayer game. UT has never had a single player experience worth actually playing through. I've enjoyed the single player Halo storyline over every other FPS game i've every played, and i know i'll play this one through to the end and then start it again on different difficulty level.

i agree with beanbandit here, the Halo series storylines is one of the best ive ever seen in a game. The soundtrack is also unbeatable.
I look forward to completing the trilogy, as each game has seen successive improvements in style. I wish that other games developers would take a leaf out of bungies book and develop something new and original, with a great story and great atmospheric music. I've got this inherent hatred of Rockstar North, thanks to Grand Theft Auto 3 onwards, so maybe they could do something slightly more original too

I never really liked halo, played the xbox original and because i was hyped up over the vidoes for the pc version i didnt like the box version, and when it did arrive on pc it was dead!!!, now halo 3 is due out YAWN, i hate multiplayer fps on consoles, single player fps is ok, something with a good storyline but when it comes to multiplayer fps then pc rules and there's too many good multiplayer fps on pc to even think about halo3. I think the controllers are better for slower paced single player games rather than fast fps. Trying to play bf2142 with a controller "YUK"

Make sure you don't buy Killzone then gtech, looks like it could be quite fast paced.

well fair enough you say halo has the best storyline judging from your opinion but i can name a few fps that are miles better in story wise, half like 1+2 and far cry are ones i can think of now that are miles better than halo storyline.

you say i contradict myself but i think you mis understood or i diddnt explain myself properly, im saying dat if the gameplay is at the same level has ut3 etc, than graphics will take into consideration when deciding which is the better game.

its like for example you have two different cars where they both reach the same max speed and the same time, so you try and find some other element to compare the two cars. thats what im doing here for example on halo 3 and UT3.

people wont get bored of UT3 because its an online game that you can play over and over again without much repetivness has each round you play online will be different.

O and whats new and innovating in the halo series that i've missed?

I'll admit that Half-life has a good story, but Far Cry? Sorry but the story was missed on me, then again i found that game boring as hell. But i don't remember too many games having full books written based on the story line. The Halo books were well recieved, which is quite unusal (not too hopeful on the film tho)

So if we carried on with you car reference, then you'd choose the "best" on colour alone?

huh? Sounds like any other online multiplayer game to me?

When it was first released on the Xbox it had great AI, story, seemless auto save (none of the PC lets kill something, then hit save system), and a wonderful multiplayer link up option. You was only limited to carrying only 2 weapons and 2 types of grenades, its still stupid that modern FPS's still allow you to carry a stupid arsenal around at all times. I believe Halo was the first (not 100% sure tho) to do this. It was pioneering when it first hit the market, and launched the Xbox as the perfect AAA title that a console needs on release.
