Sony held its annual press conference yesterday evening at the E3. Among the announcements was the introduction of a newly updated PSP and an extensive library of soon-to-be released games and services across the entire PlayStation portfolio.

Additionally, several new downloadable games were introduced specifically for PLAYSTATION Network, including a crafty puzzle game, echochrome, which utilises PS3's SIXAXIS wireless controller; an achingly funny action game named PAIN; and the next chapter in the popular Wipeout racing series, Wipeout HD.

Agreed, absolutely loved WipeOut when it first appeared on PSOne.

How do you know that? Wipeout on PS2 looked promising, but when it was released it was the worst game in the series. I do hope that its good, but this time i won't be holding my breath.

This says there definitely won't be a price cut in the Europe, nor the 80GB drive. Way to go Sony.

At this price it's almost as cheap to fly to the US, buy one and fly back. You'd probably get a better deal in duty free too!

With all the bad press right now regarding the xbox360's reliability, you would of thought Sony would capitalise more on it with a price cut than throwing in a extra pad and 2 games.

It's actually at the same price point as the 60gig before the drop..

It's a pity Sony didn't drop the price in Europe instead of that pretty lame bundle, but then I already have mine..
