    Re: Crysis - DX10 hands-on!

First question - ok so it's 2 x 8800 ULTRAS in SLI but what resolution? How big was the screen?
I'd like to play with all the bells and whistles but i've got a mere 8800 GTX I'd be playing at 1600x1200.

Good write-up - I skimmed a bit of it as i don't really want to know much about the storyline/level till i play

Looks good, start to see a gfx upgrade in the pipeline as I'm pretty sure my 256Mb x1950 wont like playing this in a decent way at 1280x1024...

    Re: Crysis - DX10 hands-on!

But I’m pleased to say that these have now been sorted and Crysis is looking almost as sexy as Kiera Knightley on a waterbed wearing nothing but a knowing smile… no, really, it’s seriously sexy.
Without reading the article header, how did I just know that Nick was the author?

    That is simply stunning.
I wonder how that would run on my X1950XT

I like the bit about driver difficulties....whats that, dx10 (VISTA) drivers which are poo...? NEVER

    *chuckles*

I look forward to playing this game in a few years

    Re: Crysis - DX10 hands-on!

I agree with the voice in the nano suit saying "Maximum Armor", "Maximum Strength" as being extremely annoying. I've seen a lengthy demonstration that crytek were giving on Game Trailers and it was driving me mad to say the least. In game when I am playing it myself, I can see my self throwing something at the wall or random object.

    Re: Crysis - DX10 hands-on!

I headed back into the halls again to day and ought out my favourite Crytek bod, Sebastian Spatzek and aired my thoughts on the nan-suit voice.

You'll be glad to know that they have an option for turning it off or having a woman's voice... and there is an icon in the lower part of the HUD, I just didn't see it.

    So that's that one sorted.

    Cool, glad that's a non-issue now.

I may have missed something somewhere along the lines of me reading about and watching videos of it, but what will multiplayer be like? FarCry was terrible in multiplayer, so I really hope that crisis isn't the same because it would be a shame really.
