I don't really like any of them.
I have a Bebo account, but i hate that thing, so don't use it any more. Facebook is OK i guess, but never been obsessed by it like some are.
myspace is a great site for music, i use it for that more than anything, facebook is just full of jocks and pointless apps
Is that in any way related to the Excel bug?keeps using plugged in
I have to admit, these types of sites really don't appeal to me. I wonder if it's an age/generation thing?
I use facebook as it has some usefull features plus everyone kept hassling me to join it.
BUT FFS I dont want to be a:
Pirate
Ninja
Jedi
Sith
Vampire
Werewolf
or anything effing else. Sod off with these stupid invitations
"In a perfect world... spammers would get caught, go to jail, and share a cell with many men who have enlarged their penises, taken Viagra and are looking for a new relationship."
myspace to listening to music tracks etc
facebook for everything else, although no pirate/vampire invites etc
I used to love facebook, but now everyday I get invites for applications I'm really not interested in and it drives me nuts. Going to a friends facebook profile you now have to scroll down to find anything. Really annoying, much prefered original facebook
Facebook has a lot of nifty features, i.e. picking up friends immediately as you type. Listings etc.
Though it is a shame that it has worsened since earlier days; and there are all these privacy fears...

I dont have one of these accounts and never will. I see no reason to share my personal info and photos with randoms on the internet.
People who have these accounts seem to consider it some kind of competition to have the most "friends" ... who can then see all your personal stuff. And people who add friends randomly are also quite likely to use common things such as dates and pets names for passwords - Info which may be available on profiles.

I have one, and I can assure you, I have absolutely NO interest in adding as many friends as humanly possible. I use Facebook to chat to the circle of friends I choose to keep in contact with. Not all of them have Myspace, MSN accounts etc etc etc
And you can share as much or as little information about yourself as you like.
Please don't post gross generalisations unless you actually know what your talking about, and aren't merely pulling it out of your backside.

I'm with chis, my Friends lists consists of just real-life friends and relatives. No random internetty people, and only what I want shared is shared, controlled via an extremely simple selection of tick-boxes.
The "Privacy scares" were blown all out of proportion. Facebook announced to it's users and the world that in 1 month they would allow public searches and let webcrawlers in unless you choose to block them on your profile. This announcement was clearly visible and featured a link to the two checkboxes required to opt-out of it. You'd have to be stupid to miss it!
The most useful part of Facebook is the Events organiser. We've successfully organised large groups of people to do many things this year with it. The last event we planned wasn't organised through Facebook and completely fell to pieces.
And finally, I live 200-300 miles away from my immediate family. It's not easy to go and visit them, so Facebook provides a good medium to see what everyone's up to and keep in touch. Yes a phone-call is good, but you can't see pictures and there's not always someone at the end of the phone.
The pirates/zombies are a bloody nuisance though!

I’m not sure what to think about FaceBook.
I like the idea and concept behind it – it’s great.
BUT, it can also get annoying.
I can confirm that I do not use FaceBook just to add as many friends as humanly possible.
I use it to keep in touch, in tune and in control of what is happening and what my friends are up too.
Especially back home (overseas).
Been able to share pictures with all your friends is great.
For me, I much prefer to electronically keep in touch with my friends, rather than having to them.
With the exception of my very close friends and family.

If you don't want to keep being hassled to be a zombie/werewolf/ninja or even any other app, then the next time someone asks you, click the box for more information then 9 times out of 10 there's a "block application" link in the bottom right of the screen so that no one can invite you to join that particular app again. Worked for me
