Wow
you might be able to run Solitare also on full settings!
Re: Intel's Smith Seems Very Happy Yorkfield OC hits 5.6GHz
Yep... you might be able to run say Windows Vista on it too - but it would prob still be slow :(

Vista feels slow on everything though David.
Why is it windows ME/XP on a 1000 Mhz Single Core AMD Athlon feels faster than a 3.4 Ghz Quad Core Vista based system?
Surely it shouldn't. I know there has been a lot of changes under the hood but to average Joe Bloggs who doesn't understand what these are it just appears to be a slower responding operating system.

The thing that i find annoying with Vista is not the general speed of the system as when its working it usually works ok, although a little slower than XP is why oh why do programs all of a sudden stop responding?
Browsing web pages will be fine for a couple of hours then for unknown reasons they will just fade and [Not Responding} show in the IE title bar....
Happened too often on the Quad Core system I have so I have reverted back to XP Pro :(
