The EQS RS690IKM-AB6S motherboard packs a lot of punch into a tiny ITX-sized package but does it offer enough to stand out in a market space dominated by VIA?

Problem is, with lack of DX9, it would hardly make for a srubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishy looking media center would it, combined with the extra heat.
I'm in the market atm for a media PC for my bedroom, i'd like something nano-itx size in all honesty, that could fit behind the TFT. But with so many mixed reviews about the new nano-itx my desire for 720p, i was quite excited by the sound of the EQS mini-itx. Oh well, mabye the next revision.

does anyone know of a decent online store that supplies cases/PSUs etc suitable for ITX sized boards? I'd be quite interested in building one of these myself.

I've still not seen anything that beats the Commell LV-677 in the mini-itx world.
It takes Intel Core 2 Duo laptop processors, has two ddr2 memory slots (Not so-dimm either) and a pci-e slot for graphics cards.
I've had mine for sometime and its superb. It can run a pretty decent system all from a 120w psu :)

Commell do indeed make some excellent boards, only problem is at £150-200 for the higher end ones they don't make a lot of sense value for money wise, particularly given the price of mobile Core 2 chips as well.

None of the itx stuff does on price. £150 is the price of the commell ones and its comparible to top end atx boards which I think is about right.

Radeon X1250 (the on board VGA) is DX9. In counter strike with 2G of RAM and AMD BE2400 you should be able to play in all resolutions. New AMD Live BIOS will be available and you can play at full 1080p.
