Must have been a big fall out - often companies come out with some slinky PR - 'departed company' etc
Violating Company Policies?
I guess he was doing something he wasn't meant to and they kicked him out over it...
well, considering microsofts polocies include not even looking at open source software and not putting easter eggs in software... not exactly unexpected.
although... this does smelly of 10 day old cod
One of El Reg's commentators wondered aloud "...wouldn't have to do with the Computerworld article in which he defends the use of SAP and Siebel CRM in-house at MS, now, would it?!?"
Sounds suspiciously likely, doesn't it...?
He may have had google.com as his homepage, that'd do it.
I would think he has been probably talking to people he shouldn't have. Either that or w**nking in the toilet.

Hehe, he probably flew in the face of convention and told the truth about somethingChief Information Officer at Microsoft shown the door for violating company policies.
he scribbled out the "dis" in the front of "information" in his title! thats it!
maybe he gave too much information assuming that was his role as CIO when he is just a token guy...lol
He probably installed non-MS software all over their network because it worked better and cost half the price
Regardless of what he did, he landed a new job pretty quickly. He started his new job, as COO of a mortgage lender, on Monday, November 26. The company he's working for announced that it had hired him just before Thanksgiving, on Wed., Nov. 21. So within three weeks of getting fired, he lined up another job. Pretty impressive. The recruiters I talked to for a couple of articles I wrote on Scott getting fired and him getting hired were surprised he found a new job so quickly, but some of them are skeptical about whether this new job is really so plum after all.
i honestly thought you where joking!
