Atari on its last legs? Q1 results bring more bad news

It's a grim time indeed for the troubled publisher, Atari, and it's not been made any better by the news that they've just reported a net loss for the quarter ending June 30, 2007 of $11.9 million.

Its a tough market at the moment where slick graphics win over game play, but at the same time you can't put out crap and expect people to buy it.
    It is Inevitable.....

Ironically, the three games I'm playing the most are all Atari games: The Witcher, Test Drive Unlimited, and NWN2. Amazon have even sold out of the expansion to the latter. So I think saying they only put out crap is a bit unfair.

However, that's not really the same Atari is it? This is presumably talking about Atari Inc, the american sub-division that's been doing badly for years.
