The PC World project with Packard Bell seems 'strong'...

I kept 6 trusted serving men, they taught me all I knew.
There names were what and where and why and how and when and who.

(I also had the HEXUS forums on speed dial just in case )

I think I definitely prefer seeing those girls on the DDR machine in tight shorts than Nick!

Multiplay are going from strength to strength and what's nice about it is that the guys who make it all happen are still very much 'hands-on', down in there with the punters.

That venue has to change though, it's too damn small now.

Out of interest though where to do they go?, I'm not aware of many places that could provide that kind of layout?.

I remember the early I series being problematic with power.

It's at Newbury racecourse right now but the event is growing so large that it's limiting how much more it can grow.

Is newbury smaller or bigger than the G-MEX center.

Btw - what's the "aroma" like on the sunday because I imagine 1500+ people playing games all caffiened out of their heads, sweating like a pig in the oven throughout all hours is going to be a bit pongy to say the least

I can remember seeing some pretty awful things on Sunday early morning, several people sleeping in their own sick etc.

finding somewhere to sleep back at that point was interesting but you could always find somewhere, i'd hate to think if it was 1500 rather than 1000ish where people slept heh. (yes people do sleep even if its on their keyboard)

Re: Crysis, CoD4, 1,000 gamers and Multiplay's Craig Fletcher!

The auroma is fine, apart from on the second floor of the grandstand where all the cs kiddies are, it literally stinks up there! that and there is so much rubbish/food on the floor, it really does make it horrible for us staff trying to replace cables and such like!

Sleeping isnt much of an issue now, cause there is plenty of camping space available, and if you dont have a tent, the 'red rooms are open' with open floor space/first come first serve!

From an infrastructure point of view everythings fine now

I will be sad to see the I-series leave newbury not only cause its on my doorstep , but just cause its always been there etc! Although as pointed out it really is outgrowing the venue e.g every event the scan stand gets bigger and at I-32 they had about 3/4 of a floor to themselves! So venue wise It will probabily end up going to the NEC or somewhere similar, due to the amount of space available.
