I have tried them with my 2900XT in Crysis and they work great. All of the texture corruption/flickering problems with some objects like rocks, weapons, tin roofs, and fences I had been having are gone. The game plays very nice now at 1680x1050, high settings, No FSAA and overclocked to 808MHz. The ATI Info does show them as CAT 7.11 drivers.

Will give these a shot with my X1950 Pro. Just got Crysis today so will install them before I make any attempt at playing it!

Re: ATI Crysis 7.11 Hotfix driver improves performance issues

Definately got a performance increase. Can run it in 1024x768 Medium settings. Looks lovely and plays smooth.

Not sure whether I like it yet though, very much like Farcry at the min. Just reached where they are jamming the radar at the beach and keep getting wasted. Right near the start literally! Will keep playing it and hopefully it will grow on me like Farcry did.

Think I need to be more tactical rather than get into the thick of the firefights like I did with Bioshock. Normally don't play a great deal of FPS, tend to go for the RPG's normally. Somewhat of a change for me really so will bear with it!

Re: ATI Crysis 7.11 Hotfix driver improves performance issues

Yes NemZ0r, I am proud to own the most beasty video card ever made...at least until they release that 3870X2 monster. I almost bought a 8800GTS too but the 2900XT beats it.

Crysis is a lot like Farcry. While there are some tough enemies to fight they also make it easy to deal with if you look around. There may be 30 baddies to kill but then they did leave you a whole pile of missle launchers now didn't they? I like grabbing guys by the throat and throwing them off of high places myself.
