I already have a cheap 138Wh battery from ebay which cost like 70 quids instead of a hundred. They are extremely heavy but pack quite some power.
Although I have to note that laptop drain a lot more power from external source than the internal battery, 138Wh only gives me 7 hours of extra battery life, I would expect this one to last only a bit more than 4 hours on a typical C2D laptop.

Thats not due to the power settings is it? I know i have mine set to max savings on battery and no savings while plugged in, on my main profile.
ie the laptop thinks its plugged into mains so draws loads of power rather than throttling back speed etc.

I've just ordered a laptop and was thinking of upgrading to the 9 cell, but I decided against it because it sticks out a little. This could be good for people going long tips.
