The HD 3450 will set you back a mere $50 and is based on the RV260 core. It features 256MB of RAM, a VGA port, a DisplayPort and it'll run along happily at 525MHz.
Specs of the RV260 core is between the Radeon 9000 (RV250) and Radeon 9200 (RV280)? Direct X 8.1 anyone?

Yep,antique hardware right there.Just switch the places of the '2' and '6'.I am wondering wether or not this 3rd generation mid-range cards will be as lame in-game as the previous ones i.e. HD2600xx or nVidia's eqivallent 8600xx which also sucked.

I've got a 2400Pro and I must say I'm most pleased with the performance. Video quality is excellent and CPU usage is next to nothing when playing a video. To top it all off it's passive! £30 very well spent. Horses for courses...
