Intel unveils no less than 16 new processors

Five new dual core mobile processors, four new dual core desktop processors, three new quad core desktop processors and four new server processors. All of which are built on a 45nm manufacturing process, how's that for a CES lineup?

I wonder who will be first in UK to stock the E8400 and how much of a rip off (sorry, "price premium") we will be asked to pay!

Re: Intel unveils no less than 16 new processors

Oooh, maybe it's finally time for me to upgrade my aging CPU, mobo, and ram

I hope these are relatively inexpensive or the price of current ones drop a little.

    I'm stingy like that ^_^

I think I will hang out for the E8400, just need to see which motherboards will get a new bios update supporting the fraction multiplier.

Re: Intel unveils no less than 16 new processors

Why do I always upgrade mere moments before a new generation of products come out?!

I bought a Socket 754 mobo weeks before Socket 939 came out.

I bought a GeForce 6800GT just before the 7800 was announced.

I bought a Socket 939 mobo a week before Socket AM2 came out.

I bought a GeForce 7800GT days before the 7900 came out.

I bought a Q6600 recently and now this!

At least my new motherboard should still work with the new processors!

As soon as I got the CPU in, I read someone on here warning people not to buy now, because the new processor would be out soon, and here it is!

    I must be jynxed.
