Thinner screens are great.
Pioneer "Project Kuro" plasma takes the cake at 9mm. Granted, LCDs and plasma have slightly different markets.
Project Kuro was the extreme contrast prototype Pioneer showed off, this isn't the same as the 9mm panel they demoed, I can't remember the name of it.
The 9mm Pioneer in incredibly impressive, especially because plasmas are generally thicker than LCDs.
The 9mm one was Project Kuro. It was a handmade panel.
And this link seems to think they are the one and the same as the infinite contrast one.
