Re: Improve your Outlook with Xobni

    its .Net.

This is an issue because it means that you must have the .Net CLR running outlook thats exactly the same version as it expects. 1.x and 2.x don't play well with each other most noteably because of a breaking change in the DateTime struct.

Also it seams to have issuse when you've got 7 exchange mailboxes, and one IMAP.

However, i like the idea of what it does!

Re: Improve your Outlook with Xobni

Actually i have to say i rather like it (prase from me, thats a good thing).

Ok so its anoying that in the conversations with x, you can't right click and view in the main viewer, and it refuses to work with my bos's mailbox completely (i think the sync keeps canceling itself), but other than that, its quite good.

Well done guys, who brought this to your attention?

Re: Improve your Outlook with Xobni

I found out about it via a beta invitation I'd received from a friend. Found it to be a handy little piece of software and thought I'd spread the word a little.

If the 50 HEXUS invitations do run out, I've got a few spare invitations left if anybody needs one.

Re: Improve your Outlook with Xobni

The conversations part is excellent. I use google mail as well and it already threads conversations, so it's nice to have the same feature on Outlook.

Re: Improve your Outlook with Xobni

Well it tried it last night (kept forgetting about it) and it crashed outlook 2007. About 3 seconds after Outlook opened it goes white and the cursor spins.

    Oh well. Shame really.

Re: Improve your Outlook with Xobni

No idea. Just installed it, restarted Outlook and it crashed.

Tried it a couple of times and it was the same. Uninstalled it and Outlook worked perfectly.

The only thing unusual that i can think of is I use active sync with my phone and I have a password protected PST that i usually just cancel the password box on.

Not got any other addons installed.

Oh and it's Vista Business 32bit

Installed, lets see how I get on Pushed a few buttons already and it seems intuitive, I especially like the phone number discovery.
