Part of me doesn't want to know, because if it is enough of an upgrade from the AVX800 (and the DAB and BlueTooth devices are compatible) I probably won't be able to resist it :)

Looks to be a US centric model, with HD and satellite radio functionality. The USB support is probably much better, it's a but rubbish in the AVX800 that I have (same goes for the SD reader). Doesn't say if the DAB module will be supported anyway.

What I was looking for was GPS really. JVC do it with the KD-NX5000, but that's really expensive for what it is, and has a tiny screen, the 7" on this would be awesome.

Looks like my pennies are safe :)

looks like the MP3 handling is much better going by that little screen shot on the bottom right.

In the AVX800, you just get file access as opposed to a library based on meta data. I bet that could be added to the AVX800 with a software update, but thats not going to happen.

I've mailed them to find out about availability.

Got some really bad news for you... it is coming to the UK, same model number and all that.

hmmmm Thats odd if it is sold in the UK with HD and Satellite radio still in it. It doesn't make any sense, we dont have them over here, or in Europe i don't think.

I'll wait and see what the stores say about it when it is available, but i'm not hankering after it yet :)
