There can be only one... if only, then we wouldn't have had so many lame follow-ups and spin offs...

It's Eidos as well, who brought us the awful Kane And Lynch
Re: Highlander release draws closer
Is the TV series in the same continuity of the original film (and the 3rd) - or in the botch up of the second one?
Re: Highlander release draws closer
^^ I don't know. I saw part of the series and bits of it were okay though I could never stomach a full episode. I'm fairly sure Conor McLeod turned-up several times and was his cousin or something, so I take it they're running with this in the game?
I loved the original (which was on last night on one of the ITVs) and was so excited I went to see Highlander II in the cinema when it was originally released. That film made me want to pull my own face off. I haven't watched III or the others since I'm afraid.
Adrian Paul (? from the series) once tried to chat up a female friend of mine in Australia. She said he seemed really nice but was possibly not the sharpest tool in the box. (Allegedly.) Anyway, he failed to cop off with her; good on ya Em. :D

don't mention that name!!! it brings tears to sad panda's eyes . . . . and an awesome, soul-piercing scowl off my girlfriend after she bought it me for christmas and i told her how lame it was :D

pollaxe: Highlander 3 wasn't bad... it was a "forget the second film ever happened" one....
Apparently the director of Highlander 2 released a remix version, which basically made a bit more sense (ie - they where no longer aliens!)

Ah no longer from the Planet Zeist then!?
Thanks for the heads-up - I'm still not going to watch it though! ;)
I seem to recall the glaring plot hole of the time that he only had to say Ramirez's name again and he'd reappear yet I'm also fairly sure he toasts him at the end of the first film. I could be mistaken in that though, it's been a loooong time since I saw Highlander II... :)
Re: Highlander release draws closer
Yes - there where more holes in the plot than a pair of very old smelly socks... but apparently the 2 special edition versions fixed some - including turning one big fight where Connors sword changes part way through, back into two fights :)
Highlander 3 fitted with the original film better.
Re: Highlander release draws closer
Followed the series for quite a while (Mum is actually a big fan of it, preferring it to the original film). 2nd film didn't happen. Christopher Lambert (Conner) makes a guest appearence in the pilot episode.
There's also been an animated series with Quentin McCloud and an Anime film with Colin McCloud.
Re: Highlander release draws closer
Considering they're supposed to be sterile orphans or foundlings - these McClouds seem to have a very large family....
Re: Highlander release draws closer
Indeed. In fact I think the only spin-off series not to be based on a McCloud was Highlander: The Raven, which was based on the Amanda character from the original series (actually I preferred this series to the main one).
