    Hmmm looks to use the same chassis as the Rock Xtreme 770, similar prices too and the rock comes with 3 years warranty as standard,

    I've never actually heard of kobalt either which doesn't help the situation for me.

    Both use the Clevo M57RU chassis. It seems fairly popular, probably in part to the fact that it is obscenely easy to work with, you can go from a barebones chassis to a fully built system in 10 minutes once you know what you are doing.

    Additionally there is a nice variety of GPU options for it, and the build quality and asthetics are both improved compared to their equivilant Napa generation 17" design.

    Too big for my tastes but as 17" laptops go they are quite nice.

    Alienware have a 15" 8800GTX based gaming laptop on the way

    Also if you can get them Gateway are doing some seriously cheap 15" 8800GTS models but that's only in the states at the moment I think.
