Nintendo patent new Wii peripherals, including a bike!

It looks like Nintendo has plenty of new ideas up their sleeves as they to seek to invent new ways to use the unique functionality of the controller.

The cycle would slot in nicely with the wii-fit thing they have going. You could do the tour de france in your living room, or perhaps a gentle ride round Bermuda (or just about anywhere), if they could make it so the resistance adjusted for the terrain, it could be a very good workout (better than some gyms where you cycle with some fat-ass on the stairmaster in front of you).

On the patent pics, shame that they havent (not through first party anyway) brought out the zapper that looks like the original NES one, looks much better than the one they brought out. Also - WTF is the teddy bear pic for!!!!

I like that idea. An exercise bike would be great!

The bike is a great idea, although I'm a little puzzled by the skateboard...

Without some sort of balancing bar most households won't have the space to use one, let alone have the money lying around to cover any breakages when someone goes all Bart Simpson (<no disrespectives!)

The joystick is a great idea and I can see that coming around nicely....

The glasses for metal gear solid styled games, but same here whats the bear for? A future sort of Mario game wth the bear acting as Mario and you making it jump around?

What I need now is a room to call the "Wii" room and a glass cabinet to sort all of their attachments!
    Woohoo now Assistant Manager!
