I love C&C but.. it just ain't Westwood is it? And why can't I bloody well zoom out enough (i'm spoilt post Supreme Commander perhaps). C&C was always about the atmosphere as much as the gameplay - i'm not sure they've captured the humour and ingenuity of the original games quite as well. Still as an action-RTS C&C3 was fun - let's hope they put a smile on our faces with RA3

I dont think its gonna be much of a big impact imo, to me EA just like using the name of great games and for all the profit they can get. Like for example its just a name to them of which they can use that they know most people will try to see if its as good as the old classics which i serously doubt it will be seeing as its EA.
Even if its poop people are still gonna buy it and try just cause it says "Command and Conquer: Red Alert" and thats all their intrested in.
Hell and Fire was spawned to be released.

RA2 had Mark Skaggs as lead developer though, the same EA guy that was resposible for Generals. By that point EA had already killed Westwood. Incidentally, I'll start playing EA C&C when they start giving a toss about long term fans, which, given that apparently changing the name from Tiberium Wars to Tiberian Wars, let alone Twilight/Eclipse was too much to ask for probably won't happen any time to soon.
