what a terrifying concept
Well it's certainly looking like Yahoo! are to be acquired one way or another. Frankly the idea of News Corp taking over what is still a major player in the search market is causing me a decent amount of concern.
Newscorp make MS look as moral and upstanding as a buhddist convention hosting a be nice to each other day!

News Corp are a bunch of rancid right wing nutcases that would give the Nazis a run for their money. It's not often I side with Microsoft but this is one time that I am! Of course, it would be even better if Yahoo wasn't bought over.

My first thought was I'd rather have Redmond in charge of it than the Murdochs. Doubt Microsoft will come back with a higher offer though, but could be mistaken.
