I always thought one of the advantages of Steam would be that the games would be cheaper than retail?
I was contemplating buying Call of Duty 4 on the PC the other day (just to play with some old clan mates) and found they were charging some $70 for it! It's cheaper to get the retail box from most high street shops.
None of the links work yet
I was reading somewhere that they are starting their distribution via Steam in USA and Canada to start with. Probably why the links arn't working for us yet.
Glad to see that digital content delivery systems over the internet are now in full swing. How soon will it be before all new media is attained via a download delivery system?
Never hopefully, Digital Delivery is a horrible horrible system.Glad to see that digital content delivery systems over the internet are now in full swing. How soon will it be before all new media is attained via a download delivery system?
If im ever buying anything i really want something physical. If im downloading it, I think I'll pass on the whole paying for it bit.
If it's a localisation issue (only wanting to have the English-language versions of Ubisoft games available initially for whatever reason), I can't see why they can't do North America and... where else speaks English? Hmmm.
What other issue could it be?
Yeah but you forget the release regions
North america
Japan
UK & FIGS (france, italy, germany, spain)
Question is will i have to pay for IL2 again, I already own it but wont pay for it again just to get it over steam when I've got the Complete Edition DVD say on my desk at home...
