Looking freakishly good although it's a shame Pierce isn't making a return voicing Abe. Just hope del Toro can pull it off again.

That's Doug Jones voicing Abe, not David Hyde Pierce. He's also voicing the Angel of Death and the Chamberlain, his other two charcters in the film.

Yes I know that, I meant to say "it's a shame Pierce isn't making a return voicing Abe" - his voice and mannerisms came across very well in the first film.

Ah. Okay. Dang those typos!!

Anyway, David based his vocal mannerisms and inflexion strongly on Doug's on-set performance, so most people aren't noticing too much of a difference.

First one was great fun - i'd welcome the second :)

Agreed - love the first one too, humourous, dark and great with pop-corn. Looking at the clips online, del Toro's definately learned a lot after making Pan's Labyrinth - a few similarities in character design.
