Re: BBC iPlayer coming to Wii

Is it free or are they making you pay 500-600 points for the software?

    (sorry... BBC blocked here )

Re: BBC iPlayer coming to Wii

well you need the browser, then just go to the iplayer page, no points/downloads needed

you may need to update though

watching the real hustle right now, quality is good but streaming on a 1mb connection sucks lol

But you'd need to shell out the points for the browser
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

Re: BBC iPlayer coming to Wii

Early versions of the service will be available from 9 April but more polished software will be released as the service is developed.
Perhaps that means theyve added support for it in the browser quickly and we might get a dedicated channel to it later? Im loving it either way.

Re: BBC iPlayer coming to Wii

An early version of the service is available from 9 April. It is only available in the UK to licence-fee payers.
When did they decide / dictate that you needed a TV license to use the internet to stream media?

edit - maybe that's just for the beta version, because according to the normal iplayer terms, you do not need a tv license:
BBC - BBC iPlayer - Help - Will I need a TV licence to watch programmes on BBC iPlayer?

Had a play last night, didn't seem to have a full screen mode but you could zoom in ok. Can't say I'll be using it much as I run my Wii though my computer...
