Adium is a mixed bag. I use it because it supports Jabber (So i can use googletalk) and msn. I'll be giving MSN7 a try though, to see what its like!

No custom emotes in Adium is a real pain (ie for some of the ones i steal from hexus ) and also i prefer the message window in msn, is there any way to change the way messages are shown - like top to bottom instead of the bottom to top default?

Try AMSN - mucho better!

aMSN is okay at best. Its slow as hell and randomly cacks itself.
