Will it remove windows vista services that are unneeded?
No-doubt useful for owners of pre-built PCs and notebooks that seldom come without at least half a dozen bits of crap software installed.

This seems like an advert lol... promoting software you admittidly haven't even tried!!! there's dozens, maybe even hundreds of programs out there that optimize your PC by helping you remove unwanted programs!
A bit of a funny headline... why can't they just purchase advertising space like anyone else? or maybe it's a friend of the editor that made this "PC Decrapifier"?
Well its freeware so I don't see the harm as long as it doesn't install any spyware/adware... well saying that I didn't install it...
Oh the irony if it did have it.
I remember the Hexus review of FreeUndelete 2, possibly their last non-gaming software review, which was very nice. Brought a useful, functional and free tool to my eyes that I hadn't even heard of until then. I've relied on it a few times since, so that was more than worth it here.
As for this... well, a news item is a little pointless - slow day or just another chance to take a shot at Vista in an article? A solid review on the other hand would be welcome.
It'd be nice to see Hexus review some of the lesser-known software out there occasionally. Things like FastStone Image Viewer and CDBurnerXP. Software that can do many of the things that larger brand-names can, but for nothing and not needing 400mb of free space just to unpack the installation files. Not thinking of Nero here. Oh no.

This program is crap itself.. does it uninstall itself when you run it?
Seriously, its crap, try CCleaner - Home for a small freeware prog that does all this does and MUCH more....
What is Hexus doing plugging this rubbish?
I do like CCleaner, but this app appears to target particular software, rather than just registry entries and temporary files, so in theory, does it do more? This is a question, I haven't used it; obviously you have so you have experience of it.
As far as I'm concerned, there's only so much that programs like this can do anyway, if anyone has a PC that's not been reinstalled for a couple of years and people ask me how to speed it up, I usually recommend a complete system nuke, but it would be nice if someone did the research for me and wrote a report on how it would handle an out-of-the-box laptop with all sortsa crap installed on there
Go on Hexus - it's free, give it a go!
