    Re: Reviews - Iron Man

I saw it last night and thought it was the best super-hero film i`ve ever seen.

Robert Downey Jr was spot on as tony stark and CG was brilliant.

    Bring on iron man 2

Good review and I have to say I agree with it. I felt Iron Man was good but it could've been great.

For those who didn't stay after the credits, here's a low-quality capture of the scene: YouTube - ironman ending - be warned, it could be seen as a spoiler if you've not yet seen the movie.

    Re: Reviews - Iron Man

saw it, liked it, but wasn't blown away. there was too much building a suit and too little action sequences for my liking. I think they should have cut 10-15 mins off the movie and made it a tighter experience. I'll watch iron man 2, but won't be excited about it beforehand...

    ..cool suit though...

    Re: Reviews - Iron Man

Saw it on preview night, loved it.

Iron Man has always been my favourite Marvel hero and this film does him every justice. And I notice they left plenty of hooks in there for War Machine and Avengers crossovers (especially that end credit scene).

    Re: Reviews - Iron Man

Movie was Awsome, wasn't rushed with your usual super hero cliche (Spiderman, Batman Begins excluded) Thought it was a nice opener for a sequal, similar to the previous movies mentioned. Took the time to focus on the beginnings.

Thanks for the link to the post credits, must admit left before it!

    Go see this movie!!!

    Re: Reviews - Iron Man

I find this review rather funny, considering it is an almost identical copy of what Empire.com said, some could say that it was ripped from that movie review site...........if they were audacious enough..

Also, considering that the reviewer admitted not being familiar with Iron Man in the first place, how can he possibly comment on what Tony Stark should be like, and the chemistry doesn't work with Pepper Potts because it isn't supposed to, that's the point!!

Admittedly, compared to the James Rhodes in the comics, the movie Rhodes isn't quite played as the hard-man he is supposed to be, but having such a dominant figure beside the main character would have detracted from Stark...

Anyway, rant over, conclusion is: Hexus, stick to hardware and game reviews, leave the movies to people who actually know how to review them and have knowledge of the actual characters.

That's a bit harsh isn't it? I can't say I agree with Hexus' review either but I appreciate that they take the time to do them.
