it is completely to the point... this statistic is statistically insignificant as they do not test the whole population, they only take a sample, which is a noisy estimate for the population... so you cannot say "UK software piracy rate drops" because this is not evidence of that... the only thing you can sensibly conclude from the number is that there has been no change.

Finding 1% less of pirated software doesn't mean piracy has gone down across the board, only that there was 1% less on the systems that were examined.
Either way, its 1%. Lets not get too excited

Hehe I see you saying different things - agent is saying they only *found* less, SiM is saying it's actually the same as before, statistically speaking.
