Who puts a speaker in the middle of a room?
Although they could make it into a poledancing pole and then they might shift a few.
What dumb person conceived this idea.... So if you put it in the corner (like most people) sound will bounce all over the walls and sound terrible.... Be like a new format called 'ECHO'
its a center peice, you put it in the middle of your room. Mark my words people who live in docklands and have small coke addictions will buy this
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
I think i'll stick with the B&W custom series - around the same price, shaped like and can be used as bricks...
It also looks like if a small child/cat/puppy/hamster/drunk one-night-stand trying to sneak out because they regret it.. brushes against it it will fall over and smash
is it made of toughened safety glass?
Acoustic considerations and lack of child-/pet-/drunk-proofing aside, won't the whole minimalist aesthetic be ruined by the whacking great input cables trailing all the way across the floor??
If it was passive you could use flat speaker cables but i've never heard of flat phono cables...
If you're paying 5grand for a speaker you can probably afford a bloke coming round to put the wires under the floorboards
As for the speaker, sounds like a cool idea, but the implementation is a bit lacking. One flat piece of glass would look far better imo, be very cool wall mounted then, not sure how you'd hide the electronics, but hey I'm not the one trying to sell it . It would be much more minimalist. With this you might as well get some speakers from argos and stick a glass tube on top.
Not to mention for the parent company of one of the largest record labels in the world you would of thought they could find a better song for the video. Very shopping channel, kept expecting an 0870 number to scroll along the bottom.
