GDDR5 is to be used on the HD 4870, this is the HD 4850 which uses GDDR3.

Inflation is increasing at the moment, you know. Everything is going up rapidly, so why not memory numbering?

AMD has done a great job with the new HD 4000 series cards. Much faster than the previous HD 3000 series. One single HD 4850 is faster or equal to the high end HD 3870 X2 card. So I can only imagine how super fast the HD 4870 X2 will perform.

Not sure about the rest of the forum readers but I had a bad experience with Gigabyte M/Boards - on two occassions they arrived DOA.

Not much to do with graphics cards though is it?
