This might sound a really newbie question, but what is Expert Tool that the box-shot mentions?

A description of the person buying the card perhaps?

But seriously, no new information the box then, bar the relatively modest PSU requirement I guess. 3dmark score.. well that seems totally dependant on the rest of the system these days. I'd guess around 17k in 06 if paired with a top CPU.

It's Gainward's own software in which you can overclock the card and change fan speeds etc. Tbh it's quite crappy so i've never used it for my Gainward.

Re: Headlines - Gainward's packaging spills juicy details on upcoming GeForce GTX280

One of these days I'm going to have to buy an upgrade for my power supply. Then I can just deal with the price of the video card... it's too bad that they are goinog against the green trend. I think this clearly shows that ATI is in fact competitive, if they weren't NVIDIA would just release a power thrifty thing.

I think the analogies to the 2900XT are spot on, I just can't stand inefficient stuff like this. It symbolizes poor and desperate design. On the other hand, we need to get to a new level already... it's been too long for the 8800GT to still basically be the standard. I'm really not interested in a beastly card, I'd pay up to $350.00 so long as it doesn't require more than one 6-pin connector.
