The 4850 looks identical to all the other 4850s
I wonder when some one will bother to put a decent cooler on this card

Asus's 1gb card has a different cooler, but I wonder if they're only able to sell it after a certain date?

Asus have got lined up for launch two versions of the 4850 with their custom flower heat sink. One card will have 1GB of memory though... Should be here by mid July, but the 1GB edition is likely to be close in price to a 4870.

That is one more reason for me to get ATi :)
Re: Headlines - Gainward launches two new cards, and they aren't from NVIDIA
ATI's new cards seem like the more wiser investment by the day now. I'd be eager to get a hold of the HD4650/HD4670 for HTPC purposes. Any idea if those will perform better than say a HD3850?
Re: Headlines - Gainward launches two new cards, and they aren't from NVIDIA
Given the performance of these cards I would say the HD4850's will be on par with the 38**'s if not a little better. If they get the price's right again though those cards will hopefully only be around £60.
I nice low clocked passive version for HTPC's and a semi decent active version (if that is required) for budget gaming might be nice. That is how I would want to differntiate the 4650 from the 4670 If they were to make two versions anyway :)
