    Apart from the battery this is what the eeePC should of been in the first place. I think Asus has lost focus on the goals of the eeePC especially on the price.

    Shame there isn't a version with 1GB and an SSD.

    Can memory be expanded in these things?

    according to the pics here, 512 is on the motherboard. with the 1gb model having an additional 512 in the sodimm slot that can be swapped out

    It is a shame they didn't make a model with a bigger SSD.

    The acer aspire one can be upgrade to 1.5GB max, that's what's running on mine. bit tricky to do but well worth it.

    It's not the RAM that's the limitation, it's the absolutely dire SSD in it. It's far, far slower than the one in the Eee PC 701 (though the one in the 701 is half the size).
