Headlines - XFX sympathises with GTX 200 series early adopters

Did you splash out on a GeForce GTX 280 or 260 prior to NVIDIA's price cuts? XFX is feeling your pain and offering a very generous cash-back incentive.

BFG are doing the same and as with the others its only available to the US & Canada.

So we in Europe who already pay more for our hardware get shafted once again.

Very encouraging to see manufacturers siding with the consumer on this one - must be pretty embarassing for nVidia though...

Lets hope this signals the beginning of the end for ludicrous launch day prices!

    Yeah right....

They are only doing it as American's started to sue the companies, so seemingly it's not out of the good of the company's heart.

True words. Companies don't have a heart.

I'm not sure why people need to be repaid. If you buy something as an early adopter, you can't really complain – well OK, complain yes, but not demand anything – when the market pushes the prices lower afterwards.

If anything, this shows how important it is that there's competition.
