I must admit I do enjoy the harry potter series of books and films. I found the later books 4,5,6 and 7 really to be a bit too long and drawn out but enjoyable none the less. The films, as they tend to do, cut a lot of the detail and finer elements of the story out but still manage to be pretty good themselves.
The trailer makes this one look pretty good although it's only focussing on a tiny part of the story, so it does still have the pontential to be very boring but I'm sure it won't be as only the second one has managed to put me to sleep so far.
I hear they are splitting the final book into two films which is potentially a very good move as the first and last 150 odd pages will make for very good viewing. The middle is a bit long and dull again but does deliver a lot of answers to the questions you will (or should) get from this next movie
I still need to read this one. Got it with me, so that'll get read in the next few weeks.
At least it isn't like the James Bond franchise where the main characters are nothing like the ones in the book (yes, I'm refering to Bond himself here).
Looking forward to it as well. Still haven't read the book yet though

I really enjoy the books - but have always felt the films don't really do them justice given the time constraints involved - they feel like a mad dash to achieve the plot conculsion. V sensible if they do split the final volume into two films.
from what I've read of reviews from people who've seen the film(it's been test screened recently), they've screwed it up. It apparently focuses too much on the love story, doesn't focus on much of finding the horcruxes (which is really the whole point of the book) or the half blood prince and the ending has been totally changed(harry isn't hidden from snape on the top of the tower and they don't show the funeral of dumbledore).
I'm glad it's been pushed back to July next year so hopefully they can fix it.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.
Yep that sounds ruined lol
They have only really been faithful to the books (or much closer) in the first and second film though. As stand alone films they aren't too bad, bit like LOTR I suppose.
