Nice! Lokks like they will be expensive though...
now that is a htpc case for the living room. Havent seen many cases from chieftec but i have an old case of theirs which is either eatx or atx size, huge and VERY solid. The build quality of chieftec are very high from my experience and although i like the cm690 i feel its astep down in quality but a step up in thermal control. This will be expensive i recon as they are not cheap normally.
Looks good .
None offer anything that hasn't been out for a couple of year though. Look at the Silverstone and Antec ranges.
My perfect idea of an HTPC chassis is ideally full-height but MATX, takes 120mm fans (don't care if they're included - they'll be swapped out), will either take a standard ATX PSU or comes with a decent silent one (the pit-fall of the Elonex Artisan that I could otherwise live happily with). I don't want silly LED displays or built-in LCD screens... I'm going to be hooking it up to a monitor or TV.
I'd pay money for that. What I don't need is an LCD display that will tell me the volume I've just adjusted. I can sit 10 metre away and see one on the screen thank you. Can I have my £40 back now?
Article updated with pricing:
