This looks awesome it really does, hats off to microsoft on this one. I love how they say they are going to try and get mac support but mac would never do sucha thing for MS. Sad really, why cant everyone just get along

As the site is down I can't see this in action but the video seems to suggest you have to upload your pics? If so then that would take months based on a decent res & multiple pics. If not then the video is confusing!
Looks very impressive, shame the server's down.
No tried downloading or using it yet but so hope the server is back up and running soon!
Had heard about this ages ago and so wanted to use it. I was almost bouncing off the walls when I heard you can use!

What i find intresting too is that this isn't just built aloft Avalon, requiring vista WPF/silverlight....

How big are decent-sized pictures these days? Assuming a file size of 5Mb, and the 300 maximum mentioned in the article, that is (only!) 1.5Gb. Unless you're one of those people with limited bandwidth broadband, or not in an area with cable (non-cabled areas are becoming less and less common), it's not an unmanageable size. I get about 7meg/s upload with my 20meg cable package, which would work out at less than half an hour uploading.

ADSL is normally what 200-700Kbps? not 7meg up like yours, you're just lucky you get decent speed on an unlimited cable connection. I'd imagine the majority of other people in this country aren't in any of those brackets. I don't even want to think how long it take me to upload 1.5gig.

Are you sure? Is it the Virgin 20Mb cable or is there some other I've not heard of?
Virgin is 20Mb download and 768k upload.

According to www.speedtest.net, using London as a server; speeds do vary though during the day and depending which server you use.
