Sure, its got great airflow and features, but I'll never buy one since it looks absolutely hideous.

Did someone just walk into the board meeting and say "I want a case. All of the outside is mesh. Lots of stuff. Make it big and black too."

    ooooo... pretty

I hope it's supposed to be Antec 300 price because anything more would be an insult.

only thing interesting bout the case is the fact that its all mesh, can't even begin to think about the amount of dust it'll let in plus the noise it'll let out.... still waiting on the silverstone raven, now thats a great case imo a quirky design which has a great idea to it, not just some standard case that looks like its bullet-ridden

Love the internal design idea of the case but not too keen on the transformer styling myself.

There is a Vid on hexus if u search but here is some snaps from http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2008/06...e-raven-case/1

Re: News - Cooler Master reveals its gamer-orientated Sniper chassis

actually, i kind of like it. Hopefully it'll be v.affordable, and in terms of function over form it's a great case. I do think that the 200mm top fan is too far forward though. But if it proves to be cheap, relatively portable and capable of running a load of hot hardware, I think its a great case. I just shifted my rig to a smaller, hotter and much less sexy case as I have to take it back and forth to uni (again) and I'm finding the temps vs my antec900 depressing. This thing might have been perfect. That said, it's pretty ugly, might be hard to stomach after a while. And that knob on top is probably the worst style faux pas I've seen on a case this year.

Re: News - Cooler Master reveals its gamer-orientated Sniper chassis

It's a hell of a lot nicer than that big orange thing from a few months back! And it does look like it'll do a pretty efficient job of cooling the system, albeit with a lot of dust floating around.

I'd really like to know how these companies define a 'gamer', as far as I can see so far they assume we have too much money and very little taste!

Re: News - Cooler Master reveals its gamer-orientated Sniper chassis

Hmm, not sure about this one... will be worth a look if it turns out to be reasonably priced but I'm guessing it won't be. Plus, as other people have said, dust could well be a real issue (although not as bad as in the Antec Skeleton- now there is one crazy chassis design...).

Not that any of the really matters at the moment anyway because if past experience is anything to go by it'll be so long before this case actually becomes available that I'll have completely forgotten about it... Why is it that we get a new graphics card launched every 5 minutes but the chassis market moves about as fast as, and I quote, 'an asthmatic ant with some heavy shopping'??

Lol iv been thinking the same thing.

I reckon most gamers would get fed up constantly unblocking the walls of that case from dust, i know i would. Personally i think there should be more decent 'gamer' cases in SFF as a lot of gamers want portability for lan parties.

    My thoughts exactly!
Far too big and clunky imo, would rather have something sleeker

The idea is to blind your oponents in a lan party with your l33t rig so you can go around and frag them faster.

The design on the silverstone case looks really nice. Could probably even mount a pretty big rad on the back of the case as it will be fairly clear of cables.

The CM case (ironically the case which the thread is about) doesn't really tickle my fancy but I'd love to rip that internal drive cage out for my V2000+
