STALKER SoC is still getting some good playtime for me and I'm really looking forward to Clear Sky.
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...
Just hope they get some of the gameplay issues sorted! For example, if you die and reload, the enemies still retain their "Active" state and someone you were sneaking up on will spin around and shoot you for no reason.
Not to mention the totally non-sensical "repeatable" missions. It's kinda annoying to get handed the same mission again.

I'm playing through the first one in preparation for Clear Sky, I can't wait!

Can't wait for this and maybe it will work on vista 64 bit :/ Still playing the first one through for the nth time and I love it, just a shame it will only load maybe twice out of ten tries on vistaShame there is no co-op mod in this version as that would of been the icing on the cake. Set up a faction with your mates and play through the campaign, heard rumours this was going to be included but looks like it didn't make it

It would be a good idea to clear up the out standing problems on the first game Stalker before bring out a new one.
I disagree - you can keep polishing a game for 5 years and still have problems left to fix - look at the patches for NWN, Starcraft etc. At some point it's better to just start over and try and make sure the new game doesn't have the same sort of problems.
Looks like Clear sky has been put back, now saying it will ship around the 5th of September.
I would really like to play the original, I even bought the special edition, patch it up and everything. But it's sat on my shelf gathering dust for about a year as it's just so unstable as to be unplayable, even patched. I'm not running some weird hardware - Core2Duo, 8800GT 512mb and 2Gb RAM. I'm hoping this will just be bloody stable!
Whats Few days or a week if they can get rid of a few more BUGS which this lot seem to have problems with.
This is the problem there is no mention as to why it's been delayed at all, although the GSC forums are kicking off with people complaining about the difference in collectors editions so I have a concern the delay is due to sorting out collectors editions instead of ironing out bugs, the game would of already begun the pressing stages and being readied to be shipped to stores.
Cant wait for Clear sky but is it coming out on the 29th in the UK?
